Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, better known as CRNAs, are essential to Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest (PPPSW). In addition to providing anesthesia for gynecological procedures, our CRNAs understand that surgery of any kind can provoke anxiety, especially for reproductive health care, and they take time to listen to patients’ concerns and answer any questions they may have.

They walk patients through what to expect before, during and after their procedures, take time to make sure the surgical experience is as positive as possible, and that their patients feel optimistic about their choices and outcomes.

PPPSW relies on contracted CRNAs because our needs can vary daily. Flexibility and a willingness to work on an as-needed basis are vital to our ability to serve our patients. CRNAs are essential to our skilled and compassionate integrated care team. They work closely with our physicians, nurses and medical assistants, and their expertise and compassion are vital to providing the safe, high-quality care that Planned Parenthood is known for. Patients can feel confident knowing they are in the hands of highly-trained professionals dedicated to their comfort, health and well-being.

CRNAs Help Planned Parenthood to Fulfill Its Mission

CRNAs who work with PPPSW are dedicated to providing the best possible care for all, and their presence reaffirms our commitment to delivering patient-centered and compassionate reproductive health care. They understand the importance of reproductive rights and are passionate about supporting patients’ access to a full range of reproductive health care services. They know that providing high-quality health care requires the efforts and expertise of many, and they value the collaboration and communication we offer them to achieve the best patient outcomes.

CRNAs who choose to work with PPPSW also share a commitment to our mission of supporting individuals to make their own reproductive health decisions. CRNAs find their role at Planned Parenthood health centers particularly rewarding. They can use their skills to directly help patients in need of care and support a cause they believe in.

If you are passionate about reproductive health and access, consider working with PPPSW as a CRNA. Your time and talents would make a tremendous impact in helping care for patients. Together, we can work to ensure that high-quality, affordable reproductive health care remains accessible for all who need it.
