  • What are the locations and hours of your health centers?

  • What are the opportunities for growth for licensed medical staff?

    Each health center has a Lead Clinician who is the senior medical person on staff. We have always promoted from within for this important role. Opportunities for growth include advancement in medical skills, leadership roles, and mentoring others.

  • Do you have a credentialing process for licensed medical staff?

    Yes, we do. Our Medical Staff Services Team conducts a full credentials verification process at initial hire and every three (3) years.

  • Does Planned Parenthood offer loan repayment?

    We offer a generous retention bonus to Clinicians (Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants or Certified Nurse Midwife) who work at any of our Riverside or Imperial County health centers. This bonus can be used for loan repayment or in any way the employee prefers.

  • What if I work overtime?

    Most of our health center staff, including clinicians are paid hourly and are eligible for overtime at rate of 1.5 times their regular hourly rate.

  • Does Planned Parenthood offer continuing education for licensed medical staff?

    Yes! Full-time Clinicians (Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants or Certified Nurse Midwife) and Registered Nurses are allotted $1,500 and four paid days per year.

  • Are clinicians required to take call? If so, how often?

    Clinicians take triage call about once a month.

  • Does Planned Parenthood offer malpractice insurance for licensed medical staff?

    Yes, our parent organization, Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) provides complimentary malpractice insurance coverage, including tail coverage, for employed licensed practitioners from the date of hire and for the duration of employment. It is not necessary for our providers to carry their own coverage while treating patients in our centers. Please note: our coverage does not carry over to any services rendered outside of Planned Parenthood.

  • What is the work attire for clinicians?

    Clinicians may wear scrubs or business casual attire with a white lab coat.
