Leading with Vision: Jenny Black Guides Planned Parenthood Pacific Southwest into a Bold Future for Reproductive Health Care

October 23, 2025

At Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest (PPPSW), leadership isn’t just a title – it’s about courage, clarity, and a commitment to care. Earlier this year, Jenny Black, who is a nationally respected reproductive health advocate with over 25 years of experience, became PPPSW’s President and CEO, bringing with her a legacy of bold leadership.

A Proven Leader

Since 1999, Jenny has stood up for Planned Parenthood’s mission, serving across four Planned Parenthood affiliates. Most recently, Jenny served as President and CEO of Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, where she led an expansive four-state region whose health center doors remained staunchly open for more people than ever before, despite a less-than-favorable political and legislative climate. Her guiding principle is clear: “Every day Planned Parenthood provides care is a win—and we’ll fight as long as it takes for the people who depend on us.”

A Trusted, Mission-Driven Organization

For over 60 years, PPPSW has been a cornerstone of reproductive health care across California’s tri-county region. With 19 health centers and a three-pronged model of health services, education, and advocacy, PPPSW delivers compassionate, high-quality care and champions policies that protect reproductive freedom.

A Place to Build Your Impact

For more than a century, Planned Parenthood’s strength has come from its dedicated people—staff, volunteers, and supporters who believe that sexual and reproductive rights are basic human rights. At PPPSW, mission-driven professionals work collaboratively, innovate under pressure, and provide care with compassion and integrity.
